Delete using the App (Recommended)

You can delete your account instantly from within the Avocadish app:

1. Sign in to your account in the iOS or Android app
2. Open Settings
3. Tap "My Account"
4. Tap "Delete Account"

Instant Deletion: Your account and all associated data will be permanently deleted immediately.

Alternative: Request Deletion by Email

If you cannot access the app, you can request account deletion by email:

1. Send us an email from the email address associated with your Avocadish account
2. Email address: account@avocadish.app
3. Subject line: "Account Deletion Request"
4. Include in your message:
   • Your full name as registered in the app
   • The email address associated with your account
   • Confirmation that you want to permanently delete your account

Response Time: Email requests will be processed within 30 days and you'll receive a confirmation when complete.

What Data Will Be Deleted

When you request account deletion, the following data will be permanently removed from our systems:

• Personal Information: Name, email address, and profile details
• Account Credentials: Login information and authentication data
• User-Generated Content: All recipes, meal plans, shopping lists, and other content you've created
• Usage Data: App interaction history and preferences
• Device Information: Device identifiers and app installation data

Data Retention Period

Most of your data will be deleted immediately upon processing your request. However, some information may be retained for specific periods:

• 30 days: Basic account logs for security and fraud prevention purposes
• Legal Requirements: Any data required to be retained under applicable law (typically financial or security-related records)
• Anonymized Analytics: Usage statistics that cannot be linked back to your identity may be retained indefinitely for service improvement

What Happens After Deletion

• You will no longer be able to access your Avocadish account
• All your recipes, meal plans, and personal data will be permanently lost
• You will stop receiving emails from Avocadish (except the deletion confirmation)
• If you want to use Avocadish again, you'll need to create a new account

Alternative Options

Before deleting your account, consider these alternatives:

• Data export: Request a copy of your data before deletion
• Privacy settings: Adjust your privacy preferences in the app settings
